Each May, the CASE Association hosts our annual conference in conjunction with the Eastern Academy of Management, a regional affiliate of the Academy of Management. By contributing your case research for inclusion in the annual conference, you will benefit from receiving valuable feedback and guidance from seasoned case authors.

What to Expect

Though we also offer a variety of Professional Development Workshops (PDWs), editor panels, and our signature CASE programm for professional growth, our conference sessions primarily adopt the roundtable discussion format. Prior to the conference, accepted cases are assigned to an appropriate roundtable (usually 3–4 cases per table). Next, all cases are shared via email with the roundtable authors.

In the weeks leading up to the conference, authors review the cases for their assigned roundtable and prepare feedback to share at the conference. At the conference, each author is provided with equal time to share their case with the table participants. Finally, each roundtable peer takes turns providing constructive feedback for the case. Each roundtable is guided by the expertise of one of our CASE board members, who serves as the facilitator for the roundtable discussion.

Through the roundtable format, authors receive targeted guidance to help prepare their cases for publication in respected outlets, including The CASE Journal.
